We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

• Account information (name, email address) via Google or Apple Sign-In
• Child profile information (names, birth dates, gender)
• Health and activity data you input (feeding, sleep, diaper changes, growth measurements, medications, vaccines, temperature)
• Chat conversations with our AI assistant
• Photos you upload for child profiles
• Device information and app usage analytics

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide personalized parenting insights and AI-powered recommendations
• Track and display your child's activities, growth, and developmental milestones
• Generate charts, statistics, and health reports
• Enable family sharing features with caregivers you invite
• Improve our AI models and service quality
• Send important notifications about your child's patterns and health insights
• Provide customer support

4. AI and Data Processing

Our AI chat feature is powered by Google Vertex AI, a third-party AI service operated by Google LLC. Before you can use the AI chat, the app will ask for your explicit consent. When you use the AI chat feature, the following personal data may be sent to Google Vertex AI to generate personalized responses:

• Your chat messages — the questions and text you type in the AI chat
• Your child's profile data — name, age, and gender, used to personalize responses
• Recent activity data — relevant activity context to provide informed advice
• Photos — any images you attach to chat messages

Google Vertex AI operates under Google Cloud's AI/ML Privacy Commitment. Your data is not used by Google to train or improve their AI models. All data is encrypted in transit and processed within Google Cloud's enterprise-grade, SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certified infrastructure.

Conversations are stored on our servers to provide chat history. AI responses are based on medical guidelines (AAP, WHO, CDC) but are not a substitute for professional medical advice.

5. Data Sharing

We may share your information with the following third parties:

• Google Vertex AI (Google LLC): Chat messages, child profile data, recent activity data, and attached photos are sent to Google's AI service to generate personalized responses. This data is not used to train Google's AI models.
• Google Cloud Platform (Google LLC): Our backend infrastructure is hosted on Google Cloud.
• Authentication providers: Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In process your authentication credentials. We receive only your name and email address.
• Family members: Caregivers you explicitly invite can access your child's data based on permissions you set (view or edit)
• Payment processors: Apple (App Store) and Google (Play Store) process subscription payments. We do not store your payment information.
• Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your data at any time:

• Chat history can be cleared from Settings → Help & Support
• Child profiles can be deleted individually
• Account deletion removes all associated data within 30 days

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of your personal data
• Correction: Update inaccurate information in your profile
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and data
• Export: Download your data in PDF format for pediatrician visits
• Withdraw consent: Opt out of optional data processing

8. Children's Privacy

ParAI is designed for parents and caregivers to track information about their children. The app is not intended for use by children under 13. We collect child information only as provided by parents/guardians for the purpose of the parenting tracking services. Parents maintain full control over their children's data and can delete it at any time.

9. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures including:

• Encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest
• Secure authentication via OAuth 2.0 (Google/Apple Sign-In)
• JWT tokens for API authorization
• Regular security audits and monitoring

However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for international transfers in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via in-app notification or email. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
